Automatic Cathode Changing System (ACS)
The ACS ensures a fast, fully automatic cathode and nozzle replacement process. If during the OMC it is found that the cathode is worn, and needs to be replaced, the OMC drives the robot in the ACS and the replacements procedure begins – which hardly lasts for 15 seconds. A new PLASMATRON® head has also been designed for this, which can also be operated manually and can be interchanged with the head used until now.
